Goats Team Program
About
The Goats team is comprised of a select group of players to maximize development and opportunity. The Goats teams practice 11 months out of the year and attend multiple out-of-town tournaments. Games are played in the spring and fall Historically our trips take us across western Canada, and into the Southern United States including California, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and Florida.
The roster sizes for all teams will be capped at 12 traveling (game) players and 3 practice players for the year.
For the 2023 season, we will be hosting open tryouts. We will hold a skill-based try-out as well as a game-type scrimmage between the dates of January 6th to 12th, The fee to participate in these evaluations is $105.00 which will help cover facility and instructor costs.

There will be pre-determined practice dates. Teams will work out x2 a week from January to November. The Spring portion of the program will run from January to April.
Goats teams will travel to Las Vegas, NV Feb 20th to 27th 2023. Teams will determine at the first parents' meeting in mid-January if they would like to attend USSSA Red White and Blue tournament from the 17th to the 20th. We will then play and practice Monday through Friday and attend the Perfect Game - Nevada Challenge on the following weekend.
We will continue with x2 practices weekly over the summer months from May to August while players continue to play on their zone teams (Does not include 15U). From September to November we will resume with x2 weekly team practices and attend a tournament in November to conclude the program. The 15U team will plan to attend a Best of the West tournament in Kamloops BC in the Spring. Additional details will be shared with the successful applicants and families of each individual program.
13U to 15U Goats programs will weight train under Going Yard and Ignite supervision in the gym located at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
Program fees are inclusive of the team clothing package through Al Andersons Source for Sports.
The financial commitment is specific to the team and age group. Fees range between $350.00 and $450.00 monthly for 11 months for full-time players.
Commitment expectations will be as full-time as possible. All players must be able to commit to all their age groups traveling opportunities and consistently make weekly team workouts. Please keep that in mind with future commitments in the spring and fall of 2023.
